ABOUT THE COLLECTION

The first Color Play painting was started in the pandemic. It was created out of frustration within. Previously my painting and thinking had been monochromatic. Division, stress, injustice, and pain made me want to scream. I desperately needed new ways of looking at old problems and patterns. Survival became equated with change and I needed to let it all out, heal, and find myself. As I began to become more of my authentic self my life began to fill with so many more colors. The process has been new and liberating at the same time not devoid of angst. Change is never easy. As I have walked outside into new spaces I hear doors close and lock behind me. The truth is I don't ever want to go back. What if I am free to be me and what if you are free to be you? Nothing more, nothing less…..Think of all the color, think of the freedom, think of the play.
